Fans and stars of the MTV show “Buckwild” mourned the loss of co-star Shain Gandee on Monday after he was found dead in West Virginia.

Gandee, 21, was reported missing with 2 other people after they left a bar at 3 am Sunday and told friends they were going four-wheeling – or “muddin” as it is known on the show.
Gandee and his uncle and another person were found dead on Monday.
Gandee's friends, who were his co-stars on the show, took to social media to lament his death.
“Breathe in. Breathe out. Repeat. Just going through the motions. Please pray for Shains close friends and family,” Tweeted Shae Bradley, one of the women on the show.
During the last episode of season 1, Shain Gandee managed to get a kiss from Cara, a girl on the show he had a crush on. His fiery sign to Cara managed to get him closer to the girl.
On Monday she was very saddened by his death.
“This is the emptiest I've ever felt. Please pray for Dale and Loretta,” Cara Parrish wrote on Twitter.
Another woman on the show, Ashley Whitt, also was devastated by the passing of her friend.
“RIP Shain Gandee. You were the most amazing person I've ever known. I know you will be watching over…” Whitt wrote on Twitter.
Elsewhere, fans were very upset by the loss. On the Shain Gandee Facebook Fan page, many messages were posted about him.
“Had the biggest crush on him (and) 😦 cried a bit when I found this out …Gandee Candy you didn't deserve this,” wrote Steph Milonas on Facebook.
Many fans said that the down-to-Earth Gandee was their favorite on the show.
“You're the reason why i watched Buckwild u will be missed dearly, i cant get my mind around that ur gone least ur in a better place now, my thoughts and prayers are with the family <3,” wrote fan Sarah Fox.
Shain Gandee was known for his humor on the show and called himself Gandee Candy because he said for the ladies he knew “it's trick or treat all year round baby!”
Recently, his family started an actual Gandee Candy line of candy, which were just about any type of candy dipped in chocolate.
A spokesperson for MTV said in a statement, “We are shocked and saddened by the terrible news about Shain Gandee, and those involved in this tragic incident. We are waiting for more information but at this time, our main concern is for the Gandee family and their friends. Our thoughts and prayers are with them. Shain had a magnetic personality, with a passion for life that touched everyone he met and we will miss him dearly.”
Shain Gandee was one of the most popular cast members on “Buckwild,” also known for his wild stunts and sunny disposition. A second season of the show had recently been given the green light by MTV.
