A Fayetteville man is facing multiple sex crime charges after sheriff's detectives discovered child pornography at his home.

Authorities arrested Edwin Lamont Ware, 49, and charged him five counts of second degree sexual exploitation of a minor and five counts of third degree sexual exploitation of a minor.

Investigators told WRAL that they searched the man's home in November 2012, when authorities report to have found dozens of videos showing children as young as 8 engaging in sexual activity with men.

On Nov. 6, 2012, the sheriff's office executed a search warrant on Ware's home following an undercover investigation that identified his home as a source of distributing child pornography.

Ware is being held at the Cumberland County Detention Center under a $125,000 bond and has a first court appearance on May 30.
