A 32-year-old Timmonsville woman stabbed another woman “numerous times” just outside a night club early Saturday morning, Florence County Deputies say

Deputies with the Florence County Sheriff's Office arrested Devon Letia Washington of North Brockington Street, Timmonsville,  on Saturday and charged her with one count of Assault and Battery of High and Aggravated Nature.

“Washington is alleged to have stabbed the victim numerous times with an edged weapon outside the Blue Hawaiian Night Club located at 1050 North Brockington Street in the early morning hours of May 25, 2013 following a verbal altercation,” deputies said in a press release.

The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment of stab injuries, none of which were believed to be life threatening, and has since been released.

Washington, who lives just a couple of buildings from the nightclub, was taken into custody later in the day on Saturday.

Under South Carolina Law, Assault and Battery of a High and Aggravated Nature is a felony punishable by up to 20 years in prison.  Washington remains at the Florence County Detention Center under a $25,000.00 surety bond.
