Coastal Cancer Center hosts “Look Good, feel better”

Most women diagnosed with cancer will undergo chemotherapy.

The treatment can be painful and cause side effects such as hair loss or skin irritation.

The American Cancer Society offered “Look Good, Feel Better” at the Coastal Cancer Center in Conway Monday.

The program helps women during very difficult times.

“I think the moral support helps them a lot. It makes them feel better and more comfortable.  A lot of times they can discuss things with someone that is going through the same problems they are having, ” said Grace Hardwick, Volunteer with the American Cancer Society.

Each participant received a free kit, filled with makeup and skin care products.

The American Cancer Society also provided free wigs, hats and scarves to patients.
