NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) – The Highway Patrol says an off-duty North Charleston police officer has been charged with driving under the influence after an accident.
Highway Patrol Sgt. Bob Beres says the wreck it happened shortly before 1 a.m. Thursday when a pickup truck collided with a car between North Charleston and Summerville.
The driver of the pickup truck, 27-year-old officer Stanley Tucker, was charged with DUI. It was not immediately clear if he had an attorney.
No one was hurt.
