Virginia College in Florence will host a Friends and Family Fall Festival for the community and former, current and prospective students on Saturday, Aug. 24, 2013 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., to be held at the campus located at 2400 David H. McLeod Blvd.

While learning about the educational opportunities available to Florence-area students at Virginia College, attendees will have the opportunity to learn more about and support their local United Way chapter.

“We are excited to host our Friends and Family Fall Festival here at Virginia College in Florence,” says Campus President Peter Slade. “Not only will this event benefit the local United Way, but it also gives area residents the opportunity to visit and learn more about our campus. The United Way will also be in attendance to share more about their mission and work in our area.”

Various planned activities will provide fun for the whole family. Refreshments will be provided to guests, as well as free giveaways, and the opportunity to win door prizes. Attendees will also be able to take a tour of the campus and receive information about programs offered including: administrative assistant <;, business administration <;, cosmetology <;, medical assistant <;, medical assistant <;, medical billing and coding <;, medical office administration <> and pharmacy technician <;.
