A relative found the burned remains of a car that belongs to a missing teen from Horry County.

Zachary Matthew Malinowski, age 19 was reported missing after last being seen on Aug 25.

Malinowski of Conway had been living with his grandparents on Highway 905, according to a Horry County Police report.

Malinowski was going to Aynor to play basketball on Sunday afternoon and a person later told police that Malinowski was last seen after the basketball game.

Malinowski's dark purple 1996 Chevrolet Beretta 2-door was found late Monday night and reported by police early Tuesday morning.

The car was found in woods about 100 yards off of Valley Forge Road near Louisville Road in the Aynor area, police said in a report.

Search dogs were brought to the area where the car was found, but after a couple of hours the search was called off, police said.

Malinowski is 6-feet 1-inch tall, about 150 pounds and has brown hair. The victim was last seen wearing a red shirt, black gym shorts, and black and white flip flops or Air Jordan's.
