2 SC brothers killed in crash with SUV

Two Moncks Corner brothers have died in a wreck on state Highway 41 in Berkeley County.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol says the wreck happened about 6:30 p.m. Sunday after a car ran a stop sign on state Highway 41.

Coroner Bill Salisbury says the victims were 23-year-old Christopher Bracewell and 23-year-old Jonathan Bracewell.

Troopers say the Bracewell's car ran the stop sign in Huger and was hit by an oncoming vehicle on Highway 41.

A family of four in an SUV from Mount Pleasant was hurt in the wreck. They were taken to the Medical University of South Carolina Hospital in Charleston.

The Berkeley County Coroner Bill Salisbury has ruled the deaths accidental with body trauma as the cause of death.

The driver of the second car, an SUV, and three passengers, including two minors, were transported to MUSC with unknown injuries.

All six people involved in this crash were wearing seatbelts.

This accident is still under investigation by the Berkeley County Coroner's Office and the SC Highway Patrol.
