Wednesday oral arguments will be heard in the appeal of a Florence man convicted in the murder of a local musician during a robbery at a local pawn shop back in 2011.

The S.C. Supreme Court will hear arguments in the Tavario Brunson appeal.  He was convicted in the murder of Chris Deaver at Rick's Pawn Shop on U.S. 52/West Lucas Street.

The 20-year-old  was also convicted of several other charges  including attempted murder for wounding 37-year-old Donna Robinson.

He's appealing his sentence of life without parole, claiming it violates the 8th Amendment's ban on cruel and unusual punishment because he was 17 at the time of the crime.
