Robeson County woman receives NC’s highest honor

A member of the Robeson County School Board received the state of North Carolina's highest honor.

On Tuesday, North Carolina State Representative Garland Pierce presented Brenda Fairley-Ferebee The Order of the Long Leaf Pine for her years of service to the people of North Carolina.

Fairley-Ferebee is from Maxton and also worked nearly 30 years for the Robeson County Tax and Zoning departments.

The Robeson County Board of Commissioners also presented Fairley-Ferebee with a plaque of appreciation.
