A little more than a year ago, groundbreaking took place for Coastal North Town Center in North Myrtle Beach, the site of the former Robber’s Roost Golf Course. Wednesday the much anticipated Publix opens for business. This is the first Publix in this region of South Carolina. The next closest one is in the Charleston area.
Other stores in the plaza include TJ Maxx, Ulta Beauty, Hobby Lobby, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Ross Dress for Less, Rack Room Shoes, PetSmart, and Versona Accessories.
In the past year North Myrtle Beach has also opened the new sports complex which has already attracted many sporting events. Go Ape Treetop Adventures opened in August, all adding up to a huge economic impact for the city.
RealtyLink is in the process of identifying other tenants for the Coastal North Town Center that will reportedly include a mix of restaurants and smaller retail stores.
Financing for the project is provided by NBSC. The general contractor for the project is Vannoy Construction.
The hours for Publix will be 7 am through 10 pm, seven days a week.
