MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WBTW) – An arrest has been made in a December 2014 armed robbery of a Myrtle Beach convenience store where the store clerk was assaulted.

The Myrtle Beach Investigation Division asked for the public’s help in identifying three men in connection with the armed robbery at the Circle K convenience store located at 1611 S. Kings Hwy on December 11.

Myrtle Beach Police reports show an arrest was made early Thursday morning in regards to the robbery. Forrest James Nelson, 35, is charged with armed robbery for his alleged participation in the crime.

Police say during the December robbery, one man was the look-out while another man, armed with a gun, punched the store clerk. Police identify the man with a gun as wearing a do-rag. A third man in a coat and knit cap jumped the counter and assaulted the clerk, according to detectives.

The police report indicates the men made off with unknown tobacco products, an 18-pack of Corona beer and money from the cash register. Then they took off towards the 17th Ave South area.
