McDaniel led Clemson in tackles in three of his four seasons from 1988-91. He later played 10 seasons with the Minnesota Vikings.

Others named to the hall were former men’s tennis coach Duane Burley and tennis player Jay Berger, basketball players Cheron Wells and Billy Williams, soccer players Nancy Augustyniak and Pearse Tormey, golfer Danny Ellis and swimmer Linda Rutter.

The group will be inducted during ceremonies the weekend of Oct. 9-10.
