DARLINGTON, SC (WBTW) – A large sink hole forced the closure of two Darlington streets Tuesday morning.
Officials with the South Carolina Department of Transportation said the hole was first spotted Tuesday afternoon near the Darlington Fire Department on Orange and Wells Street. The hole was about 2 foot-wide in size.
When SCDOT crews opened it up Tuesday morning, they found a ruptured drainage pipe.
Crews repaired the pipe and should have the road in that area opened by Wednesday afternoon.
