GREENVILLE COUNTY, SC (WSPA) – A money bag was dropped on I-85 Northbound in Greenville County by an armored vehicle Monday morning.
The money started flying along the interstate near mile marker 52, according to the Greenville County Sheriff’s Department. Deputies say all of the money has been collected and add officials even swept the area to make sure all the cash that was flying around was gathered.
Despite warning passersby that the money is gone, deputies were still getting reports late Monday afternoon that people continue to stop on I-85 and get out to look for money, which is causing traffic problems and accidents.
Officials say there is no more money, so stop looking for it. The sheriff’s office did not say how much money was dropped on the interstate.
