DILLON, SC (WBTW) – A Dillon woman has been arrested after she threw hot grease on three different women and sent them to the hospital, according to police.

The Dillon Police Department incident report states 18-year-old Makayla Woods got into a physical altercation with one of the victims on July 25. After the fight was over, Woods reportedly went into her home, retrieved a pan of hot grease and attempted to throw the grease on the victim with whom she had been fighting. When she threw the grease, however, she also hit two other women, causing them burns as well, the report indicates.

When Dillon officers arrived on scene, witnesses said the three women went to McLeod Medical Center. When officers arrived at the hospital, the victim explained what happened and police noted that she was heavily burned on the left side of her body and face. She told officers she did want to press charges against her purported attacker.

The two other women also had burns, but told police they were hit with the grease accidentally and did not want to press charges.

Dillon Police announced Woods’ arrest Thursday afternoon, who is reported to live on West Calhoun Street Ext in Dillon. Woods is described as a black female, standing 5 feet 3 inches tall and weighing approximately 120 pounds. She has black hair and brown eyes.

Woods was originally wanted on two counts of Assault & Battery 1st Degree. However, official charges have not yet been released.
