Police search for person of interest in Bennettsville homicide

BENNETTSVILLE, S.C. (WBTW)- Police are searching for a person of interest in a deadly shooting in Bennettsville Saturday morning.

Marlboro County Coroner Tim Brown says an 18-year-old died after being shot on Clark Street around 2:30 Saturday morning.

Lt. Larry Turner says an 18-year-old black male and his friend were walking on Clark Street when a dark vehicle drove by firing shots at both victims. Police are still investigating the case and treating it as a homicide.

LT. Turner with the Bennettsville Police Department says they are searching Anthony Ronald Littles in the shooting.

The coroner says the autopsy will be performed later on but is not scheduled yet.
