Kingstree football preview

KINGSTREE- Kingstree’s 2014 season ended without a glimpse of the playoffs, but the Jaguars say that shot may soon be on the horizon.

Kingstree returns experience this year, especially on the offensive side of the ball. With eight starters coming back on offense, the Jaguars expect a bigger 2015.

“I want to be undefeated, so that’s what we’re looking for,” senior running back and corner back Dajour Burgess said.

Burgess said he know that’s a lofty goal, but the Jaguars have already made progress.

“We had an excellent camp this year. We do have a lot more experience coming back. So guys expect a great workout and great opportunity to get back and start the season off with a bang,” head coach Charlie Brown said.

The Jaguars only returns three on defense this season, but with a big group of leaders they expect to fill the holes.

“I have to help the younger guys and show them that hard work and dedication and just getting in the playbook and know all the plays. So if somebody goes down you can stand in and help them out,” senior lineman Edwon Giles said.
