RALEIGH, NC — Two people have been charged with felony child abuse after a boy was discovered in a trash can in Raleigh, authorities say.

Leroy Blake, 25, and Jillian Randel Davis, 29, whose addresses are listed as “Anywhere, Raleigh,” are charged by Raleigh Police, according to documents.

Raleigh Police released lengthy 911 calls where a woman called and she was stunned Saturday morning to see a boy in her trash can.

The boy told the woman who found him that he is 10-years-old and he has a brother who is 2-months-old.

“When I took the trash out there, was this little boy inside my trash can,” the woman said in the call. “I heard him slam the lid back down. I was like, ‘Oh my God. I was like, what’s wrong?’

“He was like, ‘I’m hiding,’” she added.

When she asked where the boy lived, he said, “I don’t know, I don’t know.”

She told 911 that the boy said he had been sleeping in a nearby park.

“He said they were at the playground or the park and I guess that’s where they’ve been sleeping at,” she told 911 operators.
