Detective Leavitt with the Lumberton Police Department says two men entered McNeill’s Jewelry Store on July 24, inside Biggs Park Mall located on North Elm Street in Lumberton, and stole several items of jewelry. While one of the suspects distracted the sales person, the other suspect grabbed a tray of rings from inside the display counter, according to Leavitt.

The second suspect placed the rings inside a plastic shopping bag, and left the store. The first suspect then spoke with the salesperson briefly, before exiting the store.

Leavitt describes the first suspect as a black male, wearing a grey or tan T-shirt and red basketball type shorts, with a black ball cap. The man stands approximately 6 feet 2 inches tall, weighing approximately 200 pounds with burn scars on his lower arms.
