Swimmer pulled from Garden City surf in possible drowning, officials say

GARDEN CITY, SC (WBTW) – Murrells Inlet – Garden City Firefighters responded to a possible drowning call in Garden City Wednesday evening.

According to Captain Chuck Petrella, crews were called out to the area of 300 South Waccamaw Drive around 6:20 p.m. where an adult victim had been pulled from the surf by family members. Petrella says the victim was taken to a local hospital, but the condition of the person is not known at this time.
