Court appearance canceled for man charged with Angie Pipkin’s murder

Randy Robinson, left, is charged with the 2014 murder of Angie Pipkin. Robinson's attorney wants a judge to disqualify the 15th Circuit Solicitor's Office because of a possible conflict of interest.

CONWAY, S.C. (WBTW) – The hearing scheduled this week for the man accused of killing Angie Pipkin has been canceled.

A press release from Solicitor Jimmy Richardson Monday morning said a court hearing that had been scheduled for Tuesday, August 25th at 9:30 a.m. in Georgetown for 46-year-old Randy Gale Robinson was canceled. A new date has not yet been set.

According to the arrest warrant, it’s believed Robinson killed Pipkin and disposed of her dismembered body at 34 Landing in Darlington County.

Pipkin was last seen on January 16, 2014 getting into a car at the IGA on Main Street in Aynor, officials say. She was later seen on security cameras around 9:30 p.m. at the Wilco Food Mart at 6222 Highway 707 in Myrtle Beach.

On May 14, 2014, investigators announced remains found in East Florence off Paper Mill Road belonged to Pipkin.

Police charged Robinson in connection to Pipkin’s death.
