Loris man wanted for criminal sexual conduct with a minor arrested

A man wanted for criminal sexual conduct with a minor was arrested Thursday, according to Atlantic Beach Police Chief Tim Taylor.

Taylor says Joey Floyd, 30, of Loris, was wanted in connection to an August 16 incident in Atlantic Beach. Taylor did not provide any further specifics on the incident.

Officials say Horry County Police arrested Floyd in Longs Thursday after a short chase. His official charges were not immediately available from J. Reuben Long Detention Center website.

According to the detention center’s website, Floyd was arrested in April by Myrtle Beach Police. He was charged with first degree criminal sexual conduct, in addition to petit or simple larceny under $2,000.
