SC program provides assistance to those facing foreclosure

SC HELP will provide financial aid to SC residents who qualify, apply, and are accepted.

SC Help is a program that provides assistance to adults struggling to complete a mortgage payment.

The free service was created in 2011 and is sponsored by the U.S. Department of the Treasury and the South Carolina State Housing Finance and Development Authority.

You must meet several qualifications to receive assistance. For example, you must be a South Carolina homeowner. There is a guide to help you on the website, schelp.gov.

You may also reach the group by phone: (855) 435-7472.
