Darlington County deputies arrested two men in connection with a shooting.

Sheriff Wayne Byrd says authorities charged Robert Edward Thomas, Jr., 19, and Quavius Kamel-Tysean Rogers, 22, with Armed Robbery With a Deadly Weapon, Attempted Murder (2 counts), Criminal Conspiracy, Pointing & Presenting a Firearm (2 counts) and Possession of a Weapon during a Violent Crime. Rogers faces an additional charge of Receiving Stolen Goods Less than $2,000.

Sheriff Byrd says on August 22, deputies responded to a shooting at 1320 Griggs Circle in Hartsville and later found the victim at the hospital. The victim told deputies two men came to his home, threatened him with a handgun and demanded money. Deputies say the 19-year-old victim told them during an altercation with one man he was shot in the arm and the men left in a silver Honda. Byrd says investigators retrieved a bullet from the scene.

Both Thomas and Rogers remain in the Darlington County Detention Center.
