People in the Pee Dee had a chance to get out and celebrate at a local hospital Saturday.
The Carolinas Hospital in Florence held a community appreciation day.
Residents got a chance to enjoy food, games and tours of helicopters and ems vehicles.
Organizers say it’s an event to get residents in the community involved and to have a good time.
“It’s a great feeling. We here at Carolina Hospital Systems really care about our patients and our customers and people who just walk through our doors and we want to show them through this event that we appreciate them,” said Ashley Hobbs, Healthy Woman Coordinator.
The Carolinas Hospital System will host a “Walk for life, Race for life” in Downtown Florence to benefit breast cancer research on October 3rd, 2015.
