Myrtle Beach man dead after early morning shooting Sunday, officials say

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WBTW)- The Myrtle Beach Police Department responded to a deadly shooting around 5:30 Sunday morning.

Horry County Deputy Coroner Darris Fowler identified the shooting victim as 30-year-old Latron Lewis from Myrtle Beach.

The coroner says Lewis was shot after an altercation at 1561 21st Avenue North. Fowler says he died at 6:36am at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center from trauma caused by the gunshot.

Myrtle Beach Police say they do have a person of interest and are currently searching for that suspect.
