LUMBERTON, N.C. (WBTW) – The Robeson County Sheriff’s Office arrested a man Thursday after a fatal shooting.
Deputies responded to Roger Lee Locklear’s home at 1451 Huggins Rd. and found him dead from a gunshot wound. Investigators determined he was shot during an “altercation with Tony Oxendine,” according to details released by the sheriff’s office.
Oxendine, 53, is now charged with first degree murder, and he is in custody at the Robeson County detention center. Friday morning he was listed with no bond, according to the sheriff’s office.
The sheriff’s office did not release any other details about the shooting as the investigation continues.
