WILLIAMSBURG COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW)- The South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control Department advises the citizens of Greeleyville in Williamsburg County to vigorously boil their water for a least one full minute prior to drinking or cooking.
In a release, officials said problem at the town’s water supply station has resulted in a loss of pressure and service to many of the citizens. There has been no confirmed contamination of the system. However, because of the loss of pressure, the potential for contamination exists.
The boil water advisory was issued as a precautionary measure. Water system personnel are working to correct this situation.
