Florence, SC – Jae Sinnett Trio will perform at the Francis Marion University’s Performing Arts Center on October 1. The Jae Sinnett Trio, which includes drummer Sinnett, pianist Justin Kauflin and bassist Terry Burrell, will perform in the PAC’s Black Box Theatre. Tickets for the event are available at the Box Office or at 843-661-4444.

“I was always tapping on things and listening to music and trying to tap out the rhythms,” Sinnett said during a recent interview. “It was just following natural instinct. When I watched the Beetles as a little boy on the Ed Sullivan show, that was it for me. I knew at that time I wanted to be like Ringo (Starr, the Beetles’ famous drummer).”

Sinnett became well known in the business, especially in Virginia’s Tidewater region. He eventually accepted an offer to be a jazz producer and radio host for WHRV-FM 98.5 Norfolk, an NPR affiliate. His radio show “Sinnett in Session” airs Monday-Thursday from 9 p.m. – 1 a.m. and on Sunday from 1-5 p.m. His other show, “R&B Chronicles” can be heard Friday at 7 p.m.
