Myrtle Beach woman arrested after crashing into ambulance

CONWAY (WBTW) — Conway Police arrested a woman they say was driving drunk when she hit an ambulance on Wednesday morning.

According to a police report, the ambulance driver told officers a car hit the vehicle on the driver’s side while the ambulance was driving along Cyprus Circle near Conway Medical Center.

The ambulance driver told police the person who hit the ambulance did not stop right away, but instead parked at the hospital and went inside. Once inside, a hospital security guard escorted her back outside. She acknowledged to officers on the scene that she’d hit the ambulance, according to the report, and officers were suspicious that she may be intoxicated.

Police say 36-year-old Terri Plummer of Myrtle Beach failed a field sobriety test, and she was arrested. Plummer is charged with driving under the influence and was eventually released on bond.

Nobody was hurt in the incident, according to Conway Police.
