Two teens arrested after shooting in Little River home invasion

CONWAY, S.C. (WBTW) – Horry County police have arrested two teenagers suspected of shooting someone after a burglary in Little River.

The 71-year-old male victim was shot while visiting a friend in the 4100 block of Pine Drive in Little River on Sunday around 1 p.m., according to the Horry County Police Department. The man and the Little River resident had just returned to the home when they noticed the home was broken into. After they walked through the home they went outside and encountered the burglars.

Police believe one or both of the burglars fired a gun, hitting the man. The two burglars ran away, and the man was taken to Grand Strand Regional Medical Center. On Monday morning, Horry County Police reported that his condition was critical.

Horry County Police reported they arrested two 15-year-old suspects. The two juveniles are awaiting charges of burglary and attempted murder. Witness who saw the burglars run away described them as males in hoodies with bandanas covering the lower part of their faces.
