High tide and a full moon caused coastal flooding in Pawleys Island this morning.
Coastal Georgetown and Horry counties are under a coastal flood advisory until 10am Monday due to the timing for this morning’s high tide and the full moon.
High tide was just before 8am this morning and high waters could take a few hours to recede.
Be careful if driving around in these areas as some streets will be closed this morning due to the high waters.
We could also see some flooding in Cherry Grove as well but the water should move out with the tide.
Low tide is scheduled shortly after 2pm.
