Florence, SC – The Florence Civic Center regrets to inform fans that Thursday night’s show with Willie Nelson and Merle Haggard has been postponed. “We have just been informed that Willie Nelson has a medical issue and will be rescheduling the first half of his tour dates,” states Nick Hooker, Senior Marketing Manager for SMG Florence Civic Center.
The Florence show has now been rescheduled to April 6, 2016. “We know this is last-minute and we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience, but our hearts and best wishes go to Willie Nelson and his family during this time of health concern. Get well soon Willie, we can’t wait to see you in April alongside Merle Haggard,” Hooker continues.
The Florence Civic Center asks fans to keep their current show tickets and plan to attend the performance in April since both Willie Nelson and Merle Haggard have already committed to the new date. “To all our fans, we hope to see you in April for this incredible show, however we understand these unfortunate conditions may affect some attendees so refunds will be issued to those requiring one at their original point of purchase,” a message from the Florence Civic Center Box Office Management.
“This is all news to us at the moment and we’re still getting details on Willie’s medical concern. We’ve been told this is not life-threatening, but will require several weeks to fully recover. We will keep you updated as more information comes to light,” stated Nick Hooker.
