Crash closes one lane on Hwy 501 southbound

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WBTW) – A collision on Highway 501 southbound has closed one lane to drivers Tuesday afternoon.

According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol traffic website, the crash occurred around 2:53 p.m. Tuesday near Grand Strand Nissan at Carolina Forest Boulevard and West Perry Road.

SCDOT reports the left lane is closed to southbound drivers. While traffic is moving, drivers are asked to expect a delay if traveling in the area as crews work to clear the scene.

Officials have not released any details as to whether victims of the crash suffered injuries.
