MURRELLS INLET, SC (WBTW) – A 17-year-old St. James High School student was arrested Tuesday morning after police said he threatened a teacher after she asked him to pull up his pants.
According to a Horry County police report, Berill Cameron Green, of Myrtle Beach, was arrested and charged with disturbing schools.
The report said the incident took place outside the high school on October 30 as students were arriving in school buses. A teacher asked Green to pull up his pants because they were sagging. Green pulled his pants up and walked away mumbling, the report said.
Green then came back to the teacher and confronted her and said he would call his lawyer while pointing his finger in the teacher’s face, according to a school bus video capturing the incident, the report said.
He then told the teacher to “shut the f— up”, threw his books down and came up behind her in an aggressive manner, according to the report.
A bus driver then came to the aid of the teacher and the student was escorted to the office, the report said.
Green is currently awaiting a bond hearing and is being held at the J Reuben Long Detention Center.
