Deputies arrest 2, search for 1 in theft of Marion County Coroner’s van

MARION COUNTY, SC (WBTW) – Deputies say they have arrested two men and are searching for a third suspect in connection with the theft of a Marion County Coroner’s van Sunday night, according to Marion County Sheriff Mark Richardson.

Richardson said the van was recovered Monday morning after a deputy spotted it on a dirt road. He said that two men, Sherick Eugene Campbell and Jonathan Patrick Berry-Campbell, ran into the nearby woods when deputies discovered the van.

Campbell and Berry-Campbell are each charged with one count of accessory after the fact.

Deputies searched along Highway 301 and Chapman Cooper Road in the Sellers community for the suspects early Monday morning, and continue their search for a third suspect, Eddie Scarborough, Jr. A photo of Scarborough was not immediately available.
