MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WBTW) – As many give thanks and give back during the holidays, there are reminders of those struggling to provide a proper Chistmas for their families this year.
The director of the Veterans Welcome Home and Resource Center recently reached out to News13 with the plight of a disabled veteran in our area.
Kevin Markland is one of many, who are forced to rely on the kindness of strangers and ask for help on the holiday’s.
“The bills are mounting and honestly I’m worried about being able to provide anything, much less Christmas. Theres a Christmas tree and there’s absolutely nothing under it,” said Markland.
The Veterans Welcome Home and Resource Center is a non-profit which relies on donations to help veterans.
