Wanted Laurinburg man captured after paying with stolen checks

LAURINBURG, NC (WBTW) – Laurinburg Police have arrested the man they say used stolen checks to pay for items at multiple locations in Scotland County and had several felony warrants.

A Facebook post from the Laurinburg Police Department says the man caught on surveillance camera, Kyle Ruben Kendall, 31, atKendall-captured the Scotland Crossing Food Lion and the Laurinburg Walmart presented a stolen check for payment in both stores.

Stolen checks used at the Food Lion and Walmart were from the same bank account, police say. Kendall also had warrants for felony breaking and entering of a motor vehicle, larceny and three counts of felony obtaining property by false pretenses.
