Laurinburg Police charge 2 minors in shooting of 3 children

LAURINBURG, NC (WBTW) Laurinburg Police responded to a shooting on 109 Vance Street in Laurinburg around 9:00 p.m. Friday night after a party at the residence.

According to Chief Darwin Williams, three children were shot in the leg, along with the house being hit as well.  16-year-old Kenneth Maurice Quick Jr. and 17-year-old Jonathan Taylor Martinez were located and charged in the shooting.

Police were also able to locate a weapon.

Quick has been charged with two counts of assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injuries, shooting on occupied property, possession of a stolen firearm, possession of handgun by a minor, conspiracy and discharging within city limits.  His bond has been set for $200,000.

As for Taylor, he has been charged with conspiracy and accessory after the fact.  A bond was also set for $100,000.
