Ideas & advice: Home show returns to Myrtle Beach this weekend

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WBTW) – The 36th annual Myrtle Beach home show will be this Friday through Sunday at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center. To preview the show, Rob Clemons, President of the Horry Georgetown Homebuilders Association, joined News13 NOW at 9 a.m. on Thursday.

Clemons explained what people should expect from the show – from more than 200 exhibitors, to workshops and “meet the pros” opportunities. There will even be some culinary demonstrations and a silent auction hosted by the Coastal Animal Rescue.

“We knew it was Valentine’s Day weekend, so we wanted to kick off with some really fun stuff,” Clemons said when asked about some of the food and wine that will be part of the home show. “There’s going to be a wine tasting. They’re calling it ‘Wine For Love.’ We have some food events about cooking and making some things you haven’t seen before. So workshops are always fun, but this year we threw a little Valentine’s twist on it.”
