MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WBTW) – Heather Elvis, 20, was reported missing after her vehicle was found abandoned at Peachtree Landing December 19. Below are the events immediately prior to her disappearance and throughout the search for Heather Elvis:

December 18, 2013: Last day Heather Elvis is heard from, according to phone records.

December 19, 2013: Heather Elvis’ car found abandoned near Peachtree Landing along the Waccamaw River

December 20, 2013: Horry County Major Crimes Detectives search the area of Peachtree Landing in Socastee where Heather’s car was discovered

December 21, 2013: FindHeatherElvis Facebook page created by Elvis family to distribute information about the search for Heather

December 22, 2013: First Baptist Church of Myrtle Beach hosts prayer vigil for the safe return of Heather Elvis

December 23, 2013: Reward for information in Heather Elvis’ disappearance increases to $10,000

December 27, 2013: Volunteer searchers gather to search for Heather Elvis at Peachtree Landing. Reward for information in Heather Elvis’ case increased to $20,000

December 28, 2013: Human skeletal remains found on Tidewater Road by a man who was helping with the search for Heather Elvis. The remains were that of a male in his 20s.
