Conway woman drowns after falling off Jet Ski

BERKELEY, SC (WCBD) – A fatal Jet Ski accident took place Tuesday on Lake Moultrie at approximately 7 p.m., claiming the life of a Conway woman.

According to Berkeley County Coroner Bill Salisbury, 73-year-old Doris Nobles, of Conway, was a passenger on a jet ski Tuesday evening when she fell off.

Nobles ingested water and was transported to shore. Upon arriving to shore she was then transported by Berkley County EMS to the emergency room where she was pronounced dead.

Nobles was wearing a life jacket and traveling at an idle speed when the incident occurred

The incident was investigated by The Berkeley County Coroner’s Office and South Carolina Department of Natural Resources and has been ruled an accidental drowning.
