HARTSVILLE, SC (BWTW) – Hartsville Police responded to an alarm call early Sunday morning and arrested three teenagers.
According to a press release from the Hartsville Police Department, the juveniles are accused of breaking into the Tobacco Market at 333 South Fifth St. Police say they found a broken window and three juveniles, two 13-year-olds and one aged 14, still at the store.
Store merchandise was recovered valued at approximately $200. All three Juveniles were transported to the Department of Juvenile Justice Detention Center in Columbia to await their hearings, police report.
The city has a curfew ordinance from midnight to 6 a.m. for those 16 and under, with the goal of holding parents accountable for the location and activities of their children. Please contact the Hartsville Police Department if you see suspicious activity, including juveniles out during curfew hours.
