Lumberton police searching for credit thieves

Lumberton Police say these two men are believed to have used a stolen credit card.

LUMBERTON, NC (WBTW) – The Lumberton Police Department is asking for help to find two men suspected of stealing and illegally using credit card information.

In a post on the department’s Facebook page, the department writes that the two men used a credit card with a stolen number on Saturday, April 9. Investigators said the card was used to buy cigarettes at 3125 Roberts Avenue. That address matches a gas station beside Fuller’s BBQ restaurant.

In the post, the department wrote that the owner of the credit card number still had his credit card in his possession, so investigators believe the men may be using a card skimming device to steal credit card information and make duplicate cards.

Lumberton Police would like to hear from anyone who recognizes the men captured by a surveillance camera at 910-671-3845.
