Man arrested for exposing himself, touching woman inside IMAX theater

Fred George Dravis (Raleigh-Wake County CCBI)

RALEIGH, N.C. – A 60-year-old man was arrested Wednesday after allegedly touching a woman and masturbating inside the IMAX theater at Marbles Kids Museum in downtown Raleigh, police said.

The suspect, Fred George Dravis, is said to have touched the leg of a 69-year-old woman and was also witnessed masturbating by a 32-year-old woman and 28-year-old Marbles employee.

Dravis was charged with sexual battery for touching the woman and indecent exposure for masturbating in the theater.

Dravis was caught after one of the women realized he was exposing himself and she reported it to the IMAX staff. The staff member responded immediately and told Dravis to leave the theater and that police had been notified.

According to police, Dravis then fled the theater on foot, but was pointed out to the responding police officer by the employee. Dravis was arrested after a brief chase.

Children were in the theater, but there are no indications that the children there witnessed the exposure itself, due to the theater’s darkness and due to the fact that 3D glasses were being worn by theatergoers, police said.

Dravis is currently being held at the Wake County Detention Center under a $120,000 secured bond.
