Kristin Wilson to lead federal programs

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WBTW)- The Horry County Board of Education appointed Kristin Wilson as the new executive director for federal programs, after current director Traci Hogan accepted a job with Greenville County Schools.

Wilson is currently the director of special education, and has more than 15 years of experience,

She has worked with Horry County Schools since 2010, as a director, coordinator, and program specialist for special education. Before working with Horry County Schools, she was the director of special services in Marion County School District One and a school psychologist for Florence School District One.

Wilson is a graduate of The Citadel, where she earned an education specialist and master’s degree in school psychology. She holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Winthrop University and has co-authored five research presentations used for state and national professional development.

Kristin Wilson will start July 1.
