Georgetown deputies search for fraud suspect

GEORGETOWN, S.C. (WBTW)- The Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect wanted in connection with an attempted credit card fraud.

According to PIO Carrie Cuthbertson, the suspect tried to use a credit card at the Food Lion on Mink Avenue in Murrells Inlet on April 23, but it was denied.

Cuthbertson says the card was reporter stolen from a North Myrtle Beach condominium on April 18.

If you have any information, you’re asked to call the Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office at 843-546-5101.

Anonymous tips can also be sent by using Text-A-Tip. Just dial 274637 from any text enabled cell phone, and text the word “GCSOTIP” followed by your message.
