Hemingway man arrested in connection to Nesmith shooting

NESMITH, S.C. (WBTW) – Williamsburg County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Hemingway man for attempted murder in connection to the shooting on Nesmith Road after he turned himself in Friday.

Kendall Lamont Ellis allegedly shot Aldell Pressley after he refused to pay the debt for a drag race. Pressley was flown to a hospital after the fight Tuesday night and he is still recovering from his gunshot wound.

Ellis will remain at the Williamsburg County Detention Center until bond is posted.  The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
