MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WBTW) – Myrtle Beach Police responded to a shooting that happened early Wednesday morning that sent one person to the hospital.
According to Lt. Joey Crosby, the shooting occurred at Spivey Avenue and King Drive around 12:20 a.m. Officers on scene assisted the victim, who had been shot in the buttocks, according to the police report. The 20-year-old man was taken to Grand Strand Regional for treatment.
A witness at the scene told police that a bullet came through the wall of her home, but no one inside her house was injured. She explained that she heard several “pops” that she first thought were fireworks, but realized were gunshots after the bullet came through her home, the report states.
Police have not yet released any information related to a suspect, suspect vehicle or motive for this shooting.
